The Men's Project: |
|
The Men's Project was, initially, established for a two year period from September 1998 to September 2000. Financial backing for this phase was secured from European Union Structural Funds (PSEP) and from the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland. The Parents Advice Centre became the employing body and the host/supervisor of this venture. After this period, the project received short-term funding through a generous personal donation from Steve Biddulph (Australian author and family psychologist) and from the European Union Special (GAP) Funding. A National Lottery Charities Board application to support a further phase of development was successful and took effect from 1st April 2001 until 31st March 2003. This locates The Men's Project within a Parents Advice Centre Outreach Unit. Although all of this funding covered the project's capital start-up costs and the revenue expenditure arising from the employment of a Development Worker, it does not meet any of the costs of special initiatives. These amounts have to be raised independently. The Men's Project would like to thank the following bodies for their support of these focused pieces of work:
