Gingerbread Northern Ireland

Gingerbread is Northern Ireland's only lone parent-led organisation working to secure and protect equality and social inclusion for all one-parent families. Gingerbread supports lone parents through a range of vital services: advice, childcare, membership, policy development and training.

We aim to:

• Represent one-parent families throughout Northern Ireland and enhance understanding of their needs and aspirations.
• Ensure the development and delivery of appropriate and effective responses to the needs of one-parent families.
• Create opportunities to proactively influence and interact with policy makers, service deliverers, decision makers and the public.
• Create a culture of investment in staff and volunteers in recognition of their commitment and dedication to Gingerbread.
• Ensure that the development and evolution of Gingerbread is responsive to the needs of one-parent families and to the influences of the external environment.
