The Male Link - Focus Groups

Site Image Map

From the outset, The Male Link Steering Group members recognised the urgent need to gather baseline information on the current situation facing specific groups of local males. This recognised that being male does not, in itself, imply a common experience.

To achieve this, Steering Group members convened a series of "Focus Groups" to begin the process of exploring some particular issues facing males and the possible barriers to engaging them in support groups/programmes across a range of work areas. These groups met during Spring and Summer 2000.

The outcomes of this process are available as a report which can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. This file is 116k, so allow 15-20 seconds for it to open. This process can take 20-30 minutes, so be prepared to wait. The good news is that it will be very useful to you in the future - many large reports are now available in this format on the internet for free ... so be patient!
